How you learn

The same syllabus, the same attendance rules and the same assessment in every format. What changes is where you sit.

On campus in Riyadh
01

On campus in Riyadh

Classroom delivery at the academy on the Northern Ring Road. Small groups, printed workbooks, and a trainer in the room for the whole session rather than a recording.

  • Small group sizes
  • Printed workbook included
  • Parking on site
Live online
02

Live online

The same syllabus delivered live, with the trainer present and the exercises worked in session. Our electronic delivery is accredited by the National eLearning Center.

  • Live, not pre recorded
  • Session recordings for enrolled learners
  • Accredited electronic delivery
Blended
03

Blended

Theory online and the applied sessions on campus. Suited to learners in full time work who can reach Riyadh for the practical days but not for every session.

  • Theory at your own hours
  • Applied days in the classroom
  • One attendance record across both
In house for employers
04

In house for employers

A closed group from one organisation, delivered at their premises or ours, with the case material rewritten around their sector and their reporting calendar.

  • Closed group, one employer
  • Material rewritten for your sector
  • Attendance reporting for HR

Accreditation

Why the online group is not a lesser version

Electronic delivery at this academy is accredited by the National eLearning Center. That accreditation is about the conditions of delivery: that a trainer is present, that attendance is recorded against the same published hours, and that assessment is carried out rather than assumed.

In practice it means a live online learner works the same exercises in session, submits the same papers and receives the same written marking. Recordings are made available to enrolled learners so a missed session can be caught up, but a recording is not the course and watching one does not count towards attendance.

In the room

What a session actually looks like

01

Demonstration

The trainer works one full example on the board or the shared screen, at the pace of the arithmetic rather than the pace of the slide deck.

02

Your turn, by hand

The group works the next example without the shortcut. This is where most of the session goes, and it is the reason group sizes are capped.

03

The shortcut

Only once the long way is understood is the function, the template or the standard approach introduced.

04

The limits

An equal share of the session on what the method cannot tell you, and the circumstances in which it misleads. This part is not optional.

Assessment

Marked by a person

Exercises are marked and returned with written notes. A score on its own tells a learner they were wrong without telling them where, which is why we do not use one by itself.

On the examination preparation track, timed papers are sat under exam conditions and returned with a marker's commentary. The examination itself is set, sat and awarded by the relevant professional body, never by this academy.

Enrolment
